The CreteEcologicalforum informs through leaflets about worth seeing places at the "island of gods": cultur and history, nature and environment, conventions and customs, country and people, excursions, hikes and tours. In advance our bulletin board offers a place for information exchange (German language). Informations about individual ranges of topics can be found via the navigator board; Questions are answered gladly (see Contact). Last but not least, our link-list offers further sources about the "Island of Zeus".

So far we drove more than 44000 miles by jeep over the island of Crete for investigation, information and data collection. The leaflets are the output and have been released here: CreteEnvironmentinfo (published as well as an anthology ). In advance you can find them for download/print as PDF-File for private use free of charge. The leaflets are available individually (for collecting as loose sheets) in printed form (DIN A4, bilaterally with coloured fig.) and welded (as excursion companion) via the press bureau of the Crete Ecological Forum or the NAOM e.V.

The illustrations are showing the "small Lassithi - Plateau during December 2007 and in May 2008. Since 2007 the "small Lassithi - Plateau" can be reached by a new road from Kaminaki.

English is not my mother language, therefore I can not guarantee a 100% correct translation of the info-leaflets. When I started with the translations I found that some specific terms and names (e.g. Osterluzei Falter - Easter luzei butterfly ;o) are very special and difficult to translate - once in a while untranslatable. Hence my request: When you read the leaflets and find some mistakes in wording than please do not hesitate to inform and correct me. I'm always determined to improve my knowledge.
